About Me

Carl C. Scott is a licensed psychotherapist, youth development leader, author, and speaker dedicated to helping people overcome adversity and discover their potential. Raised in the Bronx, New York, Carl's personal experiences with trauma, violence, and community challenges inspired a lifelong commitment to serving youth, families, and individuals facing difficult circumstances. His work is rooted in the belief that healing, growth, and success are possible when people are given the right support, guidance, and opportunities.

Professionally, Carl serves as the Program Director of BEST Kids Mentoring Program, where he oversees initiatives focused on mentorship, mental health, life skills, violence prevention, and personal development. He is also the creator of the BOSS (Brothers Overcoming Struggles for Success) Program, a mental health and empowerment initiative designed to support young men through education, self-awareness, and community connection. Drawing from Adlerian Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed practices, Carl helps clients and communities build resilience and create meaningful change.

Beyond his clinical and community work, Carl is a published author, TEDx speaker, and advocate for at-risk youth. Through his speaking engagements, writing, and training programs, he challenges assumptions about young people, promotes mental wellness, and equips audiences with practical tools for personal and professional growth. Whether working with a client, mentoring a young person, or addressing a room full of leaders, Carl's mission remains the same: to help people find hope, purpose, and the courage to become the best version of themselves.
